SPAM ALERT

On 16 November 2003, It came to our notice that Steve Warren, CEO of Netwizards, 1601 NW 97th Ave, SJO3016 Miami, FL 33102 (Tel No: 1-305-468-6390), or his agent, had forged email addresses from our domain to make it appear as though his spam came from us. There appeared to be little that we could do about the situation because complaints to his upstream provider and to the State of Florida fell upon deaf ears.

Since November 2003, we have been the victim of numerous "joe jobs". At the height of these attacks we were dealing with over fifteen hundred bounces and complaints per day. (Click here for Techtarget's description of joe jobs.) The bounces and complaints due to the activities of these spammers absorb an appreciable amount of our bandwidth and time and inconvenience us greatly.

As supporters of CAUCE, the Coalition Against Unsolicited Commercial E-mail, we are totally opposed to spam. Rest assured that any spam apparently from us is forged and did not come from us. Under UK Law, the sending of unsolicited commercial e-mail to private individuals is illegal. We are very concerned about spam that appears to come from us both because we find spamming abhorrent and because it could lead to accusations of law breaking on our part.

If having read this page, you still believe that spam came from us, please check the headers of that spam. You can use a spam tracing service (e.g. Spamcop) for this and also to report the spammer.
